The white horses of Camargue in the south of France are a wonderful sight to behold! During this 5 day tour, we'll capture these ancient equine beauties in their natural habitat, splashing through marshes, sand dunes, salt flats, lakes and beaches in an extraordinary display of prowess. This photography tour is a wildlife lover's dream, with numerous opportunities to capture the spectacular wildlife of this diverse region, including graceful pink flamingos – one of only 340 species of birds in the Camargue National Park. Whether you are a beginner, an amateur, a professional photographer or just a horse lover, this photography tour has something for you!

Day 1 - Camargue National Park

On our first day in France, we'll meet at Marseille airport around 1pm. We suggest that you book a morning flight to make this meeting time, or else stay in Marseille the night prior. Our recommended airlines are KLM or AirFrance.

From the airport, we'll make our way towards the Parc Naturel Régional de Camargue or Camargue National Park, situated at the edge of Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer. Your guides will then discuss the finer points of photographing the horses, as well as provide more information on the days ahead.

Thereafter, you'll dive straight into your first photography session with the white horses of Camargue, capturing them bathed in golden light as the sun sets slowly over park.

Day 2 & 3 - Show of white horses

Over the next two days, we'll continue to hone our photography skills, capturing the white horses in motion. We'll begin each day with a sunrise shoot, aided by ranchers who will drive the horses, helping us to set up a myriad of captivating shots. You'll have a great chance to practice your action photography skills as the horses gallop upon sandy beaches, splashing about in the shallow water.

In the afternoons, we'll convene to look over our photos and engage in brief critique sessions, before making our way back to the national park.

Our sunsets will be forever enchanting, as we witness the stallions demonstrating their natural aptitude for gallantry, measuring their strength and courage in breathtaking displays.

Day 4 - Camargue National Park

On day four, we'll begin by photographing the white horses being guided around in herds by the ranchers.

The afternoon will be spent in a less exhilarating fashion though just as exciting, doing our best to stay unnoticed as we photograph the abundance of birdlife within the Camargue National Park. It is home to the largest colony of wild pink flamingos in the Western Mediterranean, so you'll have fabulous opportunities to photograph these flamboyant, vibrant birds in their natural habitat.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

We strongly recommend you to get a Trip Cancellation & Travel Insurance after booking your trip. If you cancel and the Workshop is otherwise filled, we will refund you the full amount you have paid towards the tuition, minus a $300 service charge. If you cancel and the Workshop does not fill, then you will be refunded according to the following schedule, based on the full fee of the Workshop:

Greater than 90 days from the start date of the Workshop: full refund minus $300 service fee.

75 days or more: 75% refund

60 days or more: 50% refund

Less than 60 days: no refund

Refunds will be paid by the same method that the original payment was made.
