Over seven extraordinary days, we'll get well and truly into the thick of things as we head out into the elements. Our expert photo guides will be with you throughout this workshop, guiding you to the very best locations to capture the breathtaking colours of every sunrise and sunset. There'll even be the chance to practice astrophotography, as we make camp every night beneath the glittering stars.

Although this is a hiking adventure, much of it will be easy as we follow a well-marked trail. In the evenings, we'll stay in private camping grounds with tents, a kitchen gazebo and a toilet.

Our private chef will be on hand to prepare all of our meals. We definitely won't starve, with a range of gourmet local fare on offer, such as juicy local lamb to wine and delicious desserts. Throughout the trip, we'll have hot water, tea, coffee and hot chocolate to keep us satiated.

Don't worry about breaking your back, as we'll have porters to carry our camping gear up the trail. Every participant will be provided with a warm sleeping bag, so there's no need to trouble yourself with bringing any extra gear. If there is anything weighing you down, such as tripods or extra equipment, then our porters will be happy to carry them for you from camp to camp. We'll have a single porter for every four people, carrying a total weight of 20kg each. If you require any further equipment to be carried, then we can hire an additional personal porter for you for $300 a day.

To ensure our safety on the trail, we'll have two local mountain guides to lead us along the way. Conditions in this part of the world can be difficult to predict, so they'll help us to navigate our way around Monte Fitz Roy as we make the most of the light.

Due to the fluctuating weather, it is important to be well-prepared for adverse conditions. Temperatures may be warm at 10 degrees Celsius during the day, though can quickly drop to as low as minus 5 degrees Celsius at night. We may encounter rain and even snow, so please be sure to bring along adequate hiking shoes, waterproof and warm clothing.

Keep in mind that there will be no access to electricity when we are hiking in the outdoors, so you will need to bring along at least 4 extra batteries for your camera.

Day 1 - 16 April

The adventure begins when we collect you from your hotel in El Calafate at 14:00. From there, we'll board a private bus towards El Chalten, a village within the Los Glaciares National Park in Argentina that serves as the gateway to the spectacular hiking trails surrounding Monte Fitz Roy. Once we arrive, we'll check into our hotel. There will be some time to get settled before we meet up together as a group in the evening for dinner with our local mountain guides, who will give us the lowdown for the days ahead.

Day 2 - 17 April

After breakfast, we'll check out of our hotel to begin our hiking adventure. Our big suitcases may be left in the hotel lobby for safekeeping, as we commence our hike with merely our camera gear and a few changes of clothing.

We'll reach our first vantage point within an hour, from where we'll have a stunning view of the Cerro Torre mountain peak. From there, we'll have a four hour hike along an easy trail through the forest, during which we'll make plenty of stops for photography along the way. Overall, the hike will be around 10km long with an overall ascension of 200m. We'll take as much time as we need to make it to the Thorwood camp, where we'll set up our tents.

Once we've set up camp, we'll head back out into the wilderness for a sunset session amongst the trees, with the peak of Cerro Torre framed in the distance. We'll then make our way back to camp, ready to indulge in a gourmet dinner with fresh local meat and delicious wine.

We'll spend one night at the Thorwood camp before making our way onwards to the next destination.

Day 3 - 18 April

On day three, we'll rise before dawn and head out for a secluded sunrise session, before making our way back to camp for a hearty breakfast. Thereafter, we'll pack up our belongings and begin the 10km hike towards our next private campground at Poincenot.

There will be plenty of opportunities for photography along the way, as we ascent through the lush vegetation of the Patagonian forest, tinged by the earthen hues of fall. We'll pass through a valley and several gorgeous lagoons, before arriving 3 hours later at Poincenot camp.

The campground offers up spectacular views of Monte Fitz Roy. We'll be able to relax as the surrounds boast a number of marvellous locations for landscape photography, meaning that we won't have to travel far to capture the glorious scenery. From forests to rivers, waterfalls and lagoons, there will be much to capture and we'll make the most of it all according to the conditions.

In the evening, we'll be treated to another delicious meal by our private chef before settling in to sleep for the night.

Day 4 - 19 April

We'll rise bright and early on day four for a sunrise session at one of the many stunning locations close to camp, before returning once again to fill up on coffee and breakfast. During the day, there will be a chance to engage in a discussion with your instructors about photography or to go for a wonderful stroll by the river, snapping photos along the way.

In the afternoon, we'll head out as a group for another sunset session within the vicinity, before returning to the camp for dinner and some much-needed rest.

Day 5 - 20 April

We'll begin day five with some hot coffee and a sunrise session, before returning back to camp for breakfast. Thereafter, we'll have another discussion about photography before deciding upon our movements for the rest of the day. Our options include hiking within the vicinity, or ascending the famous Laguna Los Tres, where we'll be treated to spectacular views towards Monte Fitz Roy. Although it's a 3 hour uphill hike, it's worth it for the photos!

In the afternoon, we'll return to one of our many shooting locations for sunset, before enjoying a scrumptious dinner back at the camp.
