Puffins soaring in the land of the Midnight Sun. During summer, Dyrholaey becomes an excellent place to spot puffins. Just be careful not to get too close, as the cliffs are very, very steep! Just off the shore on the Vatnses peninsula in north-west Iceland is a giant dinosaur drinking. This monolith of a sea-stack is one of Iceland's most unique and iconic works of nature. When visiting this landmark in summer, you may find yourself the subject of interest for the many Arctic tern or krias, Iceland's national bird, which can be very aggressive.
