Overview

We'll sail through the sensational fjord system of Scoresby Sound aboard our polar expedition vessel, the MS Freya. The landscapes in this part of Greenland are diverse, characterised by towering icebergs, glistening glaciers, majestic mountains and a variety of wildlife. You'll have the chance to photograph Arctic hare, seals, seabirds... perhaps even musk oxen and polar bears!

The time of year during which this expedition takes place is September, when the days remain long but the nights have returned. The lighting is ethereal and there will opportunities to photograph the Aurora Borealis, dancing in the sky over mystical icebergs.

This workshop is drone friendly, with numerous treks on-shore during which you'll be able to photograph the surrounding landscape and to practice aerial photography. Imagine how beautiful the icebergs will look from the air, with a clear view beneath the crystal blue depths to their cores hiding beneath!

Day 3 - 9

We'll arrive in Greenland by day three. Over the next week, we'll spend our days sailing through the icy blue waters of Scoresby Sound, drinking in its magnificent landscapes.

Due to the unpredictability of the weather in this region, our itinerary will be largely dependent upon the conditions and the movements of the icebergs.

Every morning, our guides will prepare you for the day ahead, explaining our shooting locations and how best to prepare for them.

Depending on the weather, we may also travel to the spectacular Kejser Franz Joseph and Kong Oscar Fjords for breathtaking views of the mountains all around.
