Winter Wonderland Photo Workshop in Iceland

Join nature and landscape photographer Iurie Belegurschi on an Winter Landscape – Photo Workshop in Iceland that’ll totally knock your socks off.

The workshop will take you to the Vatnajokull National Park of South East Iceland with good access to the Jokulsarlon Glacier lagoon. , Most of what you'll be doing will be Icelandic landscapes and night photography which includes sights such as the Northern Lights and the Milky Way, depending on current weather conditions.

The focus of the workshops will be:

Northern Lights

Especially in September to March, hunting for Iceland's famed Northern Lights or Aurora Borealis is a must when you're in the region. This spectacular and natural play of lights in the sky can be seen in few other places in the world.  The name is derived from Aurora, who was in Roman Mythology, the goddess of the dawn, and Boreas, the Greek name for north wind. Northern Lights are visible in Iceland if weather permitting from September to March.

Ice Caves

Our Winter Photo Workshop also includes a trip to the Ice Caves  . Beautiful ice formations and unique patterns made out of the interaction of ice, snow, and air that's been going on for many years. Another of those natural formations that are unique to Iceland and a few other places in the world, your photo trip will not be complete without images of these natural works of art stored in your memory card.

To those who’re familiar with Superman’s arctic hideaway, this is as close as you’ll ever get to it in real life.

Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon and famous Ice Beach

The site of many mainstream Hollywood movies because of its sheer beauty, enormous icebergs of all shapes and sizes fill the Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon, another destination during our photo workshops. Nature lovers will also be sure to love the sight of seals who have made the lagoon their home.

The beach at Jokulsarlon is often littered with beautiful glacial ice which has been further sculpted by the Ocean. Winter mornings can offer unique opportunities to catch the first rays of sun behind the glacial ice chunks.

Our Winter Photo Workshops always have a flexible itinerary, so that participants can maximize the existing weather conditions.
